Join Prelude for the 2025-26 season!
Prelude is our introductory string ensemble, for students from total beginners (never played strings before) to early beginners (just started private lessons). No prerequisites apply for this ensemble, there is no audition or seating hearing, but there is an Info Day event on September 27th at 10:30 am at La Salle Public Library—attendance is strongly recommended.
Instrument rental is not included in tuition and can be acquired through The Music Shoppe. We suggest you wait to sign up for a rental instrument until you have either attended Info Day or worked with a private teacher to size your student properly for the correct instrument. If you can't make it to Info Day, please contact [email protected] to set up a sizing appointment!
Tuition is $325 ($315 cash/check discount) for the year with a 3-month autopayment plan available* (no refunds will be issued if you withdraw from the program). Rehearsals run from 6-7 pm on Monday nights in the Paintbox Gallery at Music Suite 408 in Peru during the school year. Applications for the year are accepted through the last week of October. Prelude students perform in two semesterly concerts (December and May).
*payment plan fee added: a total of three (3) $110 payments (October, November and December).
