Seating hearings for the Spring 2026 term will be held on January 6th at La Salle Peru High School in the band room. To apply for a seating hearing, click here (2+ years of playing, strong sightreading skills, enrolled in private lessons). Intermezzo students do not require a seating hearing in most cases—apply here for Intermezzo (1+ year of playing, able to read simple music, private lessons not required) and stay tuned for an email from us if we want to hear you play before the season starts! First rehearsal for Sinfonia and Intermezzo students will be January 13th.
If your student is brand new to music or to stringed instruments, with less than a year of playing or just beginning note-reading, click here to learn more about Prelude, our program for beginning students. There is no seating hearing. Our next Prelude class begins in October and maintains through the remainder of the school year.
Returning this year is our Intro to Violin Camp July 13-17th, which is a pre-Prelude, hour-long, daily opportunity for total beginner students to learn the basics of violin and even give their first performance! More info coming, email [email protected] to be added to the waitlist!
